Pricing is higher than what is posted online. Seems to have been raised about $5-$10. The creek is wonderful! We stayed for 3 nights during the Hurricane Debbie storm. It was amazing, quite the adventure! We hiked up stream the first day and played around in the little bit of water the creek had to offer. It was in extreme drought condition. However after the storm it was significantly higher, with much louder & swifter currents. Too dangerous to get into. We were the only campers there on our 3 nights. Staff is helpful and nice. Working Bathhouse with toilets (flushing) and hot showers. A small library available. Most all sites have a table, fire pit, and wire grill top to use on top of fire to cook. I would recommend this campground.

Pam was extremely helpful and accommodating for our group! We went tubing at FRO and straight into our group campsite under the bridge after. The location is perfect and everything I was looking for. We had no cell service (the goal was to keep everyone off their phones), plenty of room for our vehicles + 6 tents + 1 hammock + stand up grill and firewood available for purchase on site. The showers, bathroom and sink for dishes were EXTREMELY helpful. Those that complain about the quality of these should stick to KOAs, these are a luxury when thinking of independently owned campsites. We were prepared to hear vehicles on the bridge, so it did not bother us at all, our group site was very private, and we were able to enjoy being away from others. The main firepit sits under a clearing surrounded by trees, perfect for star gazing while sitting by the fire. The only downside we had was looking for a place to properly dispose of our garbage, we didn't want to cause overflow in the trash cans. Other than that, everything was great, and we loved it! Thank you, Pam.

This was a disappointment for us. We're very used to primitive camping. We have 600w of solar and 200amh of lithium, so we're very capable of being off grid. But when I booked it, I guess I didn't ask the right questions. They have sites with water and electricity, but that's not what we're wanting. We specifically got this camper so that we don't have to be connected. I made the mistake of assuming that since they have water and electric sites that I'd be able to get some water so we can do dishes, flush the toilet, and small little water uses like that. But nope. We booked a primitive site and they wouldn't allow us to get any water. At $25, you'd think I'd be able to get some water. The camp is very small, very tight, but even though we're a truck camper we're pretty big. The creek running behind most of the sites is very pretty and relaxing! That's the best part of this campground. Oh.... Nothing could be done about it... But the road noise from the big elevated bridge that runs right through camp is.... Well.... It's noise.

Site is not as nice as it is shown in pictures. A trip was planned with a large group and all done on the phone. A price was agreed upon for the whole group. When we arrived the owned changed the price to more than double the original. We left and found ourselves a better place that was very accommodating. Beware. The owner does not seem to welcome children.

We arrive to find out that the rate we agreed to previously was being doubled. Great way to treat a youth group Gooney Camp Grounds! Warning for all: don't make a reservation unless you can confirm price & all details in writing. I read other reviews , it appears that any one under 18 is unwelcome.

This place is absolutely beautiful and the management is spectacular. Stayed for three nights last week and absolutely loved it. I know people complain about the bridge noise , but there is plenty of peace to be had. The staff couldn’t be more accommodating . As of the grounds, Justin and Miranda have put so much love into this place. The bathrooms are clean, showers are hot, there’s kindling in every fire pit (every site has one), electric and water hookups everywhere, and well maintained landscaping. They even have a wash station for your utensils and dishes. The fresh water running down the creek with the birds chirping is my happy spot in life and this stay fulfilled that need for me. There are plenty of spots away from the overpass bridge if that’s your only concern. I slept close to it in a Tent and it didn’t bother me at all. Final thoughts, If you are looking for a high end place that cost a ton, then this place isn’t for you, but if you want a to sleep by a beautiful stream with birds chirping and a little touch of Mother Nature , all at a very reasonable cost, then this should be your home. Goonies for Life!!!

Very comfortable campground. It's next to a road, which means easy access, and the road isn't *terribly* loud... so THAT'S good! I found a trail yesterday that led away from the road, and it became very serene and beautiful! I was so glad i went on that walk! I didn't click the kid friendly option on the review because the creek is fairly deep and fast flowing (at least, in mid-April). If you watch your kids, it would be a great place to bring them! And the road so close was the reason this for 4 stars, instead of 5.

Went for a day trip, will be back for camping. Lots of sites right on the water. Awesome swimming holes. Great camp hosts.
