This is the fifth straight summer we have stayed here, our third as KOA. This is our retreat, our escape from the hustle and bustle of life. We have stayed in four different sites, all with full hookups, all on the outside of the lower loop. We tend to stay to ourselves, and the outer sites enable one to feel a bit more secluded. The owners are making continual investments in the campground; there is significant progress just since last year with the new deluxe sites and completing an update to the playground. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They also send multiple text reminders throughout the day for shower closures (for cleaning), store hours, and end of day actions to reduce the likelihood of bear encounters. We love this place and have already booked our stay for 2025.
We loved the location of this rv park when it was Elk Creek Campground. The new owners have made this campground even more beautiful by continuing to improve the sites with sewer hook ups and patios. The staff works hard to keep the grounds neat and tidy. The restrooms and showers are clean and spacious and the laundry room is very nice and reasonably priced. Everyone is so friendly that you feel like family. I highly recommend this campground!
We are working here for the season and this is the best campground I have ever seen. All the employees are great co-workers. But most of all the owners (Greg, Perri, Jamie, and Mark) are amazing and the managers Terri and Brad are amazing. We love it here! If you want a great camping experience, this is the place! Amazing sites, moose, nice clean restrooms and showers (HOT), plus the playground, pond, dog park, and basketball court. And the lake a few minutes away.
We loved staying at this KOA. The staff was nice, restrooms were clean, hot showers, and 5 min or less drive to grand lake down town area. The reviews are correct when they say you will most likely see moose. We were able to see moose at the campsite almost everyday.
Excellent experience at this KOA. The staff was friendly, site was clean and peaceful with amazing views. Moose were frequently seen meandering through the campsite. Kids loved the recreational activities available in the KOA. The camp was located right next to RMNP and just a quick drive from all that Grand Lake has to offer.
