The campground looked clean and well maintained. There was a trail that followed the river downstream for the local sled dog races that was easy to follow. I visited in early February so I had the place to myself.

Great weekend getaway campsite right off the chena river if you want to fish. Great trail to hike and plenty of space. Didn’t have cell service but that’s ok with me. Also the pay station is card only so that’s good, i brought cash expecting it to be cash only but im sure its good to be prepared for both. i will definitely be visiting again!!

Great place very beautiful and peaceful. Some people are on it at the same time, but they were few and far in between for my visit. A few rock climbers on the Tor rock formations.

Booked the dry cabin here for a quiet get away for a week. It was end of season so it wasn't busy at all. The restroom was clean and the surrounding area was well kept. Along with the wildlife surrounding the area, their habitats were untouched.

Great campground and trailheads that span over Chena Hot Springs Road and the river. Boardwalk trails are a bit in need of repair, but are otherwise a beautiful, invigorating hike in the Chena River State Recreation Area.
