This KOA advertises free wi-fi. However we could not get a signal from our space. The staff offered to move us to a different space. We went to the new space and still could not get a wi-fi signal. At that point we decided to leave because the main reason we stayed here is because we expected to get wi-fi as advertised. The owners need to upgrade their wi-fi or they need to stop advertising free wi-fi. We have not had wi-fi problems at other RV parks. This was disappointing because this is a KOA and for the price they charge one would expect a higher standard.
Advertised as having wifi but the wifi is only available in one small picnic area. From a practical stand point there is no wifi at this campground and there is prettty much no cell coverage.
Favorite KOA!! The whole site is great. The jump pad and playground are perfect for letting the littles get some energy out, the dog run is safe and easy to walk to, and the waterfall is gorgeous. The pond beneath the waterfall is great for swimming, though a tad difficult to access. The store is cute and the whole site is very family-friendly.
Great place to stop for a day or two…maybe more! The pull through site we were in was HUGE and offered shade without the trees touching the roof. We enjoyed the playground and jump pad (the sand pit was stocked with lots of digging tools!) and had a great summer evening walk down to the waterfall. We were only passing through the area but I’m sure there is a lot to explore using this location as a jumping off point.
Kids play area is all in direct sun with no shade near, not great for young kids in a mid-summer visit. The play area was also very bare, not at all a “playground” like picture on their map. The entire upper camping area is filled with long term rvs (pull outs covered in cobwebs and junk pilled around them as evidence) and it was deserted, we were the only people walking around. Made for a VERY boring time for our kids. The perk of paying extra to stay at a KOA vs. regular campground is knowing that they are family friendly and there’s usually a community of other families around that your kiddos can socialize with. There was also a group of people walking from the store down (so seen by the people running the grounds) to the swimming area with a new store shopping bag, clearly not campers, but walking down to hang out at the swimming holes, which to be fair are beautiful and the only redeeming part of the campground. The woman I spoke to in the general store was also very unhelpful, seems to be a pattern with that in these reviews. WiFi didn’t work in the picnic area even though it was advertised on their map.
