Enjoyed our stay at this lovely, small, quiet park. Very kind and helpful hosts. The Mule deer were fun to watch. The camp is clean and well laid out as each site has a view of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Just beautiful. Close to the small, quaint town of Westcliffe and minutes away from the Historic Beckwith Ranch.

This RV Park wasn’t our first choice however, the one that we really wanted to stay at is now closed so Grape Creek is now one of only two RV parks in or near Westcliffe Colorado . The park is an OK park, has a wonderful view of the mountains and the valley and is only a mile or so from town. The first couple of weeks that we were here, were good except for a few barking dogs and several people who don’t obey the speed limit signs in the park and throw dust up all over everything. About the third week, though some people moved into the park with the most horrible dog we’ve ever seen or heard, that dog never stopped it’s shrill yelping and it’s people never really tried to do anything about it, soooo I complained to the park hosts. One of the park hosts told me that I just had to be more tolerant like she was tolerant of our smoking that filled her trailer with smoke (from 20+ feet away in a 10 to 20 mile an hour wind and sometimes stronger, with our coach between us and her door). This is the same park host that had already complained to me about the noise that our water heater makes, which we really have no control over as it was made that way (it’s a Newmar with an Oasis heating system and they are obnoxiously loud and they stink) so we have always tried to be careful especially when our neighbors are outside, to keep it turned off when we don’t really need it, unfortunately our electric water heater was broken on this trip but we still kept it off until we needed hot water (a little inconvenient) but we try really hard not to offend people, so anyway I apologized and we tried to be even more vigilant about not using it anymore than we had to, even though those people “never” sat outside while we were there but she claimed that it was extremely loud inside their trailer…the thing is “in” our coach and we don’t hear it when we’re inside (🤷🏻‍♀️just sayin). Yet we can hear that yelping dog inside our coach but that doesn’t seem to bother her and according to her doesn’t bother anybody else in the park except us. Anyway they didn’t do anything about it so we had to listen to that dog and many many others for two weeks because every time it yelped which was almost non stop so did the others and by my estimate there were more dogs in the park than there were people. The next problem is that they have very few sites with 50 amp electric service and the ones that do cannot support it if they are all full and everybody turns on all their air conditioners. So the entire time we were here we could only run one ac, there were times when it was hotter inside our coach than it was outside (like 84 degrees inside). So needless to say we will never come back here but if you need a place to stay and don’t mind a lot of yelping dogs and not enough electricity this is the place.

This place is magical! Quiet RV park with horses, a creek, and mountain views. About five minutes from a grocery store. Had great internet with both Verizon hotspots and Starlink.

Lisa at Grape Creek RV Park exceeded my expectations and provided excellent customer service. I arrived after 9pm on a Saturday night unexpectedly as my previous spot for my trailer fell through. She was quick to arrange a spot for me and assisted with my accommodation needs for the next day as well. Knowing that I was in town for a 14’er, she even offered to reach out to my wife if I needed help. The property had all the amenities I needed. I highly recommend visiting Grape Creek RV Park for any of your camping adventures!
