We just took a long weekend trip here with my family. The kids (ages 5, 2, and 5 months) had a blast. They loved playing with the goats and collecting eggs. We did both breakfasts and dinners at the lodge restaurant and it was overall great food and good service and the kids ate free for every meal. We especially liked that the farm was close to lots of hiking trails and we were able to do a nice family hike even with small kids. Overall it was a great weekend trip.
We stayed at one of the cabins, which was a great experience. We especially enjoyed our UTV tour with Tim. He told us about the farm's history, showed us the extent of the property, and gave us great tips about kid-friendly hikes. We can't wait to return during another season, as it seems they have many events throughout the year.
We stayed in the Dogwood cottage for a girls weekend. What a beautiful location. We had the best time with beautiful Suzy and Jake (the horses in the back). The cottage was warm and very clean. Connie stopped in to check if we needed anything but we did not. Can’t wait to visit when it is warm.
Beautiful gorgeous mountain views! Lodge rooms had nice fluffy pillows and while mattress was too stiff for me, it was no worse than other places I’ve stayed before and definitely better than a motel bed. On site restaurant was delicious and a great price for dinner. So many spots on property for beautiful fall photos as well as plenty of entertainment for kids with the farm animals and really cheap pony rides. Very close to Skyline drive, Luray caverns, and other hiking trails. Would definitely stay here again.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! I decided to go out here to celebrate my birthday and I was not disappointed. Great staff, food, and location. I loved how close I was to beautiful hikes and being on such a gorgeous farm. The market was awesome as well. I will definitely return!
