Seemed like a nice, quiet campground when I was there (Sept 2019), but I decided to (disperse) camp nearby. I really enjoyed the area, nice and quiet. Did a couple of hikes up some forest roads. Caught a lot of fish in the river. The only drawback is the used TP, which seemed to be everywhere (outside of the campground). Any hiking near the river on the east side seemed to be like TP breadcrumbs everywhere...kinda disgusting.
Update - Campground is closed now, it burnt down in the fire last year. A nice no facilities campground. Easy access to the river in several spots. Hardly any people stay here so it is fairly quiet place to camp.
Very much liked Grey Rock Campground excellent that there is a campground near kyburz that you don't have to pay to camp got in after Dark it was easy to find and completely empty.
Great place. Too bad it has been damaged by fire.
