Level sites, most with electricity, each with a covered picnic table and ample parking. Quiet and peaceful slice of desert! There are pit toilets nearby and running water at the bathroom near the visitor's center.
Great campground within Leasburg Dam State Park. Lovely views, and if you're lucky you'll see some wildlife. Each campsite has a shelter. Set up your tent in the shelter if you don't want to sleep on the rocks. This is a peaceful place, but a place of nature, so come prepared.
Located within Leasburg Dam State Park, the Greasewood campground offers a simple and rustic camping experience. However, visitors should come prepared with ample bug spray and mosquito netting. The campground primarily caters to trailer or RV camping, as the designated camping ground is covered with sharp rocks, making it unsuitable for stake-in-the-ground camping. Despite the rugged terrain, the campground boasts a rich and diverse wildlife population. You may encounter various bird species, including morning doves, Gambel's quail, a striking Pyrrhuloxia or desert cardinal and even more brilliant vermilion flycatcher. All of which made a visit to our camp during the morning hours, unfortunately as usual, I didn't have my camera out. Regardless, the campground does offers a unique opportunity to observe these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.
Nice state park, if campsites are a bit too close together. At least not a sardine situation. Electric sites with central dump, water at the sites. The real draw for a full timer like me is the annual pass making for a very cheap stay. Good cell coverage here.
