Customer Reviews
Smells horrible Most mosquitos I’ve ever seen Only 2 tent sites for some reason? Freeway noise is unbearable in a tent Gate closes at sunset for some reason? Lights from copper plant and parking lot are so bright you don’t even need a headlamp…
As is true of all things in life, timing is essential. My visit, in May 2023, had mostly sunny skies and a pleasant cool breeze, so bugs were not bad. This is right off a major road, so road noise is inevitable.
It wasn't awful but it wasn't great. They really should do more to make it handicapped accessible and the visitor center really needs more educational materials. But at least I can check it off. My bucket list now
This is a really small campground, 5 spaces or so. It's located with the Marina. There's water and electricity (30/50 amp) They have a dump site. Everything is clean but needs some maintenance. Bathrooms with a shower. The visitor's center has some drinks and some snacks. Xfinity (Verizon) has 5 bars of LTE and sometimes 5G. This place is all about the view.
This place is awesome. The one star reviews complaining about the gate being closed didn't read the website info. You can get in whenever; just have to call and get the gate code. I think it makes it feel exclusive, lol. It's beautiful here, and yeah it's has "a smell" it's a salt lake...it's not bad, just not what you might be used to. I have heard bugs can be an issue here...just come in the spring before they do! The weather is mild and it's so peaceful. Can't wait to come back again soon :) ❤️
