We have a National Park Pass, and we try to go to all of the National Parks possible. The Great Smoky Mountains National Parks is gorgeous. I love how it spans between Eastern Tennessee and Western North Carolina. There are so many different ways to visit, and so many ways to take advantage of the beauty. Absolutely worth multiple visits.
Cades Cove is a Great Drive in the mountains. Just have to bring patience with you as people stop in the road frequently although they have pull off places everywhere.Great place to hike either the trails or the homesteads. Ride your bike. Will most likely see plenty of Deer , Turkeys. Peacocks and if your lucky a Bear. On busy days can take couple of hours to do the loop so be prepared.
This place is just beautiful. From the amazing scenery to some quality family time. Going to the mountains is just s feeling that is unmatched in today's fast paced world. I believe everyone should take the time to visit and decompress in God's great land.
Amazing drive through the park!! Immediately we saw elk grazing and making their way into the forest... Later in the trip we also saw a bear walking up the side of the mountain which the kids thought was fantastic! We stopped at a few places along the creek to admire the beauty as we made our way to the highest point. It was cold but felt amazing in the sun. Highly recommend to pull over, enjoy the scenery, smell the crisp air, and take in part of nature's finest.
