However, it's important to note that the campground is located near a fairly busy road, which can result in road noise, especially during the day and early evening. While traffic diminishes significantly after 10 PM, some noise may persist. Additionally, the lake is prone to swimmer's itch, and the shoreline offers limited walking space due to the hill rising from the lake's edge. Also, there is an outhouse, and no trash cans were found by a reviewer.
Green Lake Campground is ideal for those seeking a short-term, scenic camping experience. The beautiful lake views and pet-friendly environment are significant advantages. However, potential visitors should be aware of the road noise and lake conditions. Despite these factors, the campground offers a convenient and visually appealing stay for travelers passing through or looking to enjoy the Interlochen area.

We stayed just last week as a pass-thru stop with a rooftop tent. Pros: -beautiful lake views from most sites -very clean and well kept -accepts dogs -has bathrooms and a dumpster (boat launch side) -has a couple fresh water spigots -enough room for a vehicle or small camper (most sites are also pretty level) Cons: It is close to a fairly busy road, as other mentioned. However, traffic all but stopped after about 10PM, save for the occasional car. Literally, the only con. Everything else was great.
This campsite is right next to a lake, which makes it pretty. There are stairs that go down to the lake but not much area for walking as the shore meets the hill that comes up to camp. Unfortunately, this lake is prone to summers itch, as well as the lake across the street. Bummer. The biggest issue at this campground is the road noise. It’s right near a busy road so you’re hearing cars all night long. Sites are pretty even though they’re close together. The road noise is just simply not relaxing. Has an outhouse, accepts dogs, no trash that I can find which is another bummer.
Road noise, way too close to the heavily traveled main road. No camp host, so enjoy listening to the music your neighbor will be blasting past midnight. Suggest avoiding this site. Camp grounds on the other side of the road look nice though.
Road traffic is pretty terrible
Not a bad campground but not the greatest. The vault toilets need a little more attention. They were pretty full and you could tell the outhouses weren't getting cleaned. The noise from the highway is annoying but it's not anything unbearable. Having direct access to the lake was enjoyable! Loved being able to bring the dogs! It was nice bc it wasn't crowded when we were there. I can imagine once the campground fills up it might not be as enjoyable
