Customer Reviews
I lived here from September to January and the area is very rough. I was lucky enough to get a spot near the pond but the camper behind me and next to me were actively full of obvious drug users, screaming and fighting in front of their spots, throwing things in the pond, torturing the ducks. If you like cats or have one to get rid of, there are multiple kitty gangs in the campground. Bath house was sort of clean, very run down. Hardly ever hot water. If you are homeless and need an emergency place to stay like I did, here’s your spot. (I was homeless, lost and pregnant. Not a junkie.) They will rent out a dump to you and at least offer propane if you can afford it. Have a reliable set of legs or good strong tires because the driveway is a pothole nightmare.
Stayed here for about a month. Very nice old couple. They even had room service along with a babysitter who was always willing to watch our son when we needed to go out. They offered a breakfast in bed as well. The A/C had to have been broken because it was hot almost the whole time, however they more then made up for it though by providing us a rent free stay the entire time. But hey what are grandparents for.
I have a lot to say for my opinion but if your one of the have nots or paid not to say it doesn't do a thing for anybody concerned besides it's been sold and to new owners I'd have the soil and water tested before you bring any animals
We camped there many years ago when my son was younger, very nice place clean and well put together. Now this place is crazy! I see a lot of activity in and out of this place at 4am in the morning and this is not normal. I’ve almost hit people walking from there to go to the store. I’m am sickened by what is going on in there. There are children living in filth and being made fun of and bullied at school cause you as parents can’t get off the dope and make a life for these children. This place needs to be shut down ASAP!
I recently bought a fifth wheel camper and I wanted to test it out and this campground is just a couple miles down the road. I was really impressed with how friendly and helpful the owners were. This campground appears to be under new management and I can tell they are making improvements. My stay was on a Saturday night and I was surprised at how quiet it was that night, very peaceful.
I've lived in the area over 30 years. The campground is a well known place to live if you're a junkie, always mentioned in the newspaper for squad calls to revive. Or if you're a thief, the owner will even let you use his truck! The community is in constant fear of the people who are permitted to live there. Stay far away, that's the best review I can give.
