Gorgeous location and a friendly host to check in with and buy firewood from. Overall, it was a wonderful camping trip. Be aware that if you have extra vehicles, you will need to pay extra for them. That includes boats. The bathroom had running water, and there was a drinking water refill station that was also convenient.

Great campping, right next to Shadow Mountain Lake. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance because the first come, first serve camp sites are quite busy. I got the last spot 3 days before 4th of July! and saw so many people loop the campground in search for a first come, first serve site. The grounds are just a short walk to the lake (non of the sites are directly on it), facilities including spicket outside, hiking trails, firewood available for purchase, and big campsites that have privacy. Fire pits, picnic tables, and bear boxes also on site. $25 a night and self check in. The hostess was super nice and great talking to! They keep up with maintenance on the grounds and will help you out if you have any questions! The lake is cold and refreshing but tends to get windy so do the kayaking/paddleboarding before noon! Cheers 🍻 no electrical/water hookups here. Boat ramp is located right before the campground and is walk-able to.

Highly recommend this campground. Camp host is always very friendly and helpful Right on the south side of Shadow mountain lake. Easy driving distance to other lakes. Along with Arapaho & Roosevelt national Forest. Plenty of trails near by. Only complaint fishing was not very good but that happens sometimes. So we just went swimming lake Granby

Really nice campground along Shadow Res. We had sites 69 and 70 with good views of the mountains to the south. Clean and well maintained. The table and bear box were in good condition. The tent sites were nice and flat. There was a pit toilet to the east and a bathroom with flush toilets and running water to the west. There's even several trails that you can hike from the campground. Took a walk to Shadow Res. as the sun was setting. Magical.
