Almost all are great sites, but this is one of the best sites in the Green Ridge. The location, views and morning sunrise are all spectacular. You do have to traverse an incline to get to the actual site, but well worth the trip. P.S. You may be able to drive up and camp but you are suppose to reserve sites in Green Ridge State Forest.

I've camped GRSF many times this is the 1st time at 65. What a view. Roads can be a little sketchy around here so I recommend 4WD but I've also see many 2 wheel drives here as well.

Went 'winter camping' on the 13th of January and was simply blown away by the beauty of the site. The drive into the forest and to the campsite was a bit treacherous because of the ice, snow and steep inclines. Had to forge a small creek on the way, but it was all worth it. The site has a wonderful view down to the Potomac River and to West Virginia. The hills were covered in snow. At the site, you can hear the rustling water from the creek sited behind you across the road. Huge place to set your sent with ample room for your truck or 4-wheel vehicle. The only downside for me was the rocky ground.... it made it very very difficult to drive tent stakes into the ground. My 4 season cabin tent needs 20+ takes, so that was tricky. This is a primitive site: no water, no electric, no showers or bathrooms. Just a great view. No reservations--- first come first served. Highly recommended. Will definitely come back

Amazing views of the river and awesome privacy! Can get muddy in the rain. You need a capable vehicle to get there, but it’s worth it!
