Greenbriar Float Camp Introduce

Greenbriar Float Camp, located in Ozark Township, MO 63935, falls under the Campgrounds & RV Parks category. This campground offers a primitive camping experience, appealing to those seeking a more rustic and secluded outdoor adventure.

Based on customer reviews, Greenbriar Float Camp provides a spacious camping area, capable of accommodating large groups with ample tent space. The site features a quality fire pit and an abundant supply of fallen firewood, enhancing the traditional camping experience. The campground is surrounded by trees, creating a natural and secluded environment.

However, potential visitors should be aware that the shoreline may have limited space depending on the water level. Access to the campsite from the river requires creating steps, as the site is located up off the water. Despite this, some campers find the effort worthwhile, returning year after year. Additionally, there is a man-made entry point via a creek leading to the rear of the site, suitable for kayaks.

It is important to note that the campground is described as overgrown, and the pit toilet is in disrepair. This indicates a lack of regular maintenance. While this may detract from the overall experience for some, it reinforces the primitive nature of the campsite. For those seeking a truly off-grid experience, Greenbriar Float Camp could be a suitable option.

In summary, Greenbriar Float Camp offers a large, primitive camping area with natural resources and a secluded environment. While it lacks amenities and regular maintenance, it provides a unique and rustic experience for those seeking a peaceful escape into nature.

The site is definitely primitive but offers a quality firepit and plenty of tent space for more than 20 people, easily. Surrounded by trees with an endless supply of fallen firewood. The shore can have limited space depending on water level and, since it's up off the river, you'll have to create steps to get to the campsite but it's worth it. Been there for three years straight and going back again! Also, if you go up the creek that's directly before the site's shore, you'll find a man-made entry point into the rear area of the site. It's perfect for a kayak or two.

This campsite exists but is very overgrown. Pit toilet is in disrepair. It would be a great campsite if they had workers visiting it from time to time to clean it up. If you want a primitive experience this one would work perfectly. Quite peaceful and up off the water.
