Many campsites are located along the Little Pigeon River so hearing the water sounds while sitting around a fire is really nice.
My husband and I spent 9 nights there recently and had a wonderful time. It is obvious that the owners/workers take pride in this campground. They are always out and about on their golf carts weeding flower beds, decorating for the season, raking leaves, cleaning, and tidying up the premises. There aren't a bunch of lights to annoy you at night, so it reminds you of a dark sky park (dark park), and it was always so peaceful and quiet. The staff is super nice, and a couple had treats for the pups who were visiting. They also have pup potty-bag stations throughout the park as well as a nice sized dog park. And... if you have kids, there's a couple of playgrounds and two bouncy-houses. It really is the little things and this campground seems to go over and beyond to make this campground welcoming! This is definitely our new favorite campground! We can't wait to come back!!! Also... it's a great location, just a few miles to downtown Gatlinburg and Pugeon Forge.
This is a campground in Gatlinburg, Tn. We were in our RVs. So I cannot comment on rooms or service. Its pricey for how close you are to your neighbors. They consider November in their 'peak season' and we paid over $100.00 for a site with full hook up, and on the river. The park was decorated for Christmas and was quite beautiful. The staff was off for Thanksgiving, and we didn't have any needs. We would come here again.
We visited Greenbrier campground from Nov 25 to Nov 30th, we stayed @ cabin 68 and loved every minute of our stay. My daughter was in 69, and son was in 66; we enjoyed our Thanksgiving dinner together in cabin 68. It was a tight squeeze, but we had a great time! The deck over looking the water was the best! If we ever come back I want to stay in the same cabin, and hope to see a bear next time! This campsite is wonderful, if planning a trip to Gatlinburg you will love this campground. The staff was friendly, and helpful and the grounds are well maintained. Thank you Greenbrier for a fantastic time!
