There are 9 campsites, all for large groups (at least 3 tables & 1 fireplace for each site). The forest is beautiful and wild, it has plenty different trails. I liked Ice Age trail. I was in early October and didn’t see many animals, just chipmunks and some birds.

I really enjoy my camp outs at Greenbush. Site 9 is on the purple trail which gives you access to the entire Kettle Moraine. I think the picnic area is also on the trail, or site 3 it's as well. I normally camp in September and October and take advantage of the Civil War reenactment and Halloween fun. Park Rangers are excellent and not stuck up and pretentious like Devil's lake. The park is very large and navigation can be challenging. Don't be hesitant to chat up a ranger anywhere in this park. Professional and very knowledgeable. This park has year round activity. Horses, snow mobiles, hiking, mountain biking, CC skiing and more. Greenbush puts you right in it all. I will also recommend the short drive to Elkhart Lake for the little bakery coffee shop downtown. Fun!!

Primitive site with no electricity or water. Site was big enough for 5 tents with room to spare. Site had plenty of parking too. Wood dispenser at entrance was helpful. If you stay here you need to make sure your food and drinks are packed each night and there is a decent sized population of raccoons. We stayed 2 nights and you could hear them in our site within minutes of everyone heading into their tents. Mosquitos were also some of the worst I have ever experienced in an entire lifetime of camping. Our group of 15 went through 5 bottles of bug spray in less than 48 hours. Restrooms are basic and seem to be relatively clean. There are no lights in the bathrooms so pack flashlights and toilet paper if you want anything softer than sandpaper.

Great quiet place for camping. Lots of nature to be had. Lots of wildlife coming right up to your campsite. Can't get closer to Nature than this place. Campsites in very big. Because they are group sites which is very nice gives you a sense of privacy. It's looking for a private group site this is the place to go.

Unfortunately my review is based on others in the campground. Our site had a lot of little trash in it. Hard to pick up things that other people left before us. And both nights there another group next to us that had their radio on, laughing, and screaming(little kids and teenagers) until 1:30 am both nights! There was no ranger on site to help with these problems. Other than that, the put toilets I can handle, but they ran out of toilet paper by Sat afternoon.
