Imagine being a touring musician from Nashville and getting booked into the lovely and relaxing Greendale cabins after a harrowing day of lost luggage and flight delays. Yes, it happend to our headline act in 2024. There were smiles all around when they walked in the door. The Cowichan Valley Bluegrass Festival has used Greendale since 2019 and we are thrilled to provide our artists with such great digs. Ally and Stephen are wonderful hosts. The grounds are lovely.
This place is such a hidden gem. The property is like something out of a fairytale and the cabins are beautifully nestled in nature alongside the river. Each cabin is super private whilst also having gorgeous river front views. We literally watched herons fly by and fish for their lunch just meters away. There are whimsical walking trails and lovely beach areas with swimming spots all along the water. The cabin we stayed in (the blue heron) was so cozy, rustic, and unique. They take you back in time while also providing the modern everyday amenities that most of us need (the internet was excellent!). The beds were so comfortable our entire group had an amazing sleep. We were lucky enough to get to peek inside a few of the other cabins and each was unique and so fun to explore. This place would be perfect for family trips as well as getaways with friends. Excellent customer service. Its a five star from our group all around. We cant wait to go back!!
A beautiful place! We all felt like we stepped back in time. It was such a great experience. All the finishing touches, right down to the books on the book shelf. We enjoyed every bit. The views, river, open green space, the antiques. It's definitely one we will come back to time and again. It was relaxing. The next time we will bring floaties to float down the river. Was really impressed at how clean the cabin was, and all that it offered. What a serene and beautiful place!!
We use Greendale to house bands for our music festival and they love it. Providing touring musicians in homey accommodations in a beautiful, serene setting gives them welcome respite from the rigours of the road.
