Was there for an event last evening with a vendor at the greenfield Pavilion at the campground . The pavilion was really beautiful and well kept . They have a stage for entertainment . Every camping spot appeared to be booked for Memorial Day weekend . The only reason I gave it 4 stars is parking . If you have an event at the pavilion there isn’t a lot of organized parking and parking in the grass after heavy rain looks like it was leaving ruts . Also some lighting on the path to the bathrooms after dark for safety or slow down children crossing signs at places kids were frequently seen crossing may be nice feature to add . Photo below was taken walking back from restroom and I used my cellphone as a flashlight
I have camped out here 1 time and it was a good experience. The lake here has several things to offer such as ball diamonds, recently built bathroom/shower house, and a new playground. It also has a newer pavilion that can be reserved for events. This is a wonderful spot to bring the family for a nice little getaway. There is also a nature center out here that is usually open when there is an event such as the BBQ By the Lake.
Some turn around areas may be to small for trailers longer than 25 foot but others are good. Well mowed, quiet, friendly staff and campers. Gravel is a little rough for people in walkers, but that's everywhere.
Had a great experience...quiet campground with good amenities. The sites we were in were not that level so bring lots of chocking and wood. They planted some new trees but we had no shade. But other than those two things it was a great, affordable, quiet campground
Quiet, friendly, and handy hometown campground. We were there for the Greenfield Homecoming festivities. Well laid out dump station. We had poor internet connection, but that was universal thru out our trip from MO to IL. Hope to back in 3 yrs for the next Homecoming
