Customer Reviews
Such a beautiful, peaceful campground with sceneic views and great amneties. Everything was tidy, clean, and firewood was easily accessible (we stayed in tents in october so this was a must. Owners were super friendly and even sent us a thoughtful postcard. Even the other campers were friendly! Our spot was wooded and against the main road but still very private. Surrounding area was gorgeous an there are a lot of major cities/attractions within 2 hours. We would be delighted to stay again.
Wonderful campground in Stonington, Maine. Some sites are uneven. Mostly they are great. We had site 0 and had to do some leveling. But the site was clean and private in the trees. Troy (owner) came around and greeted us. Pleasant and very helpful with ideas of what to see and do in the area. Also you can have Lobster delivered to your campsite and they let you borrow a large lobster pot for boiling. Also we were able to ride our e bikes down to Sand Beach. Would definitely return. Thank you for a fun trip!
At the recommendation of locals in town, we contacted Greenlaws to park our car overnight when headed out on a multi day kayaking trip. They not only allowed us to park but the owner also shuttled us to and from the kayak put in for a very reasonable price and was incredibly friendly and communicative! We are so grateful he offers that overnight parking and shuttle service, as it's a real need on the island.
This year (25) I was by in January. They were managing the forest. Cutting and splitting wood preparing for the new season. The park looked great, reminded me of a State Park!
Bathrooms are clean. Our site was beautiful and spacious. The campground is quiet. Roads are paved. Wood for sale was dried pine. We had site #10. The water connection was weirdly placed in the site but a hose was provided that laid flat on the ground, so we never tripped. The campground is close to a small airport. We stayed 4 nights and only heard one plane. Virtual check in/out was a unique experience for us but the owners were easily available via text. If we ever come back to Deer Isle, we will stay here.
