Customer Reviews
I have visited Groom Creek for years. I arrived a day early this year, I wasn't greeted amicably. As I mentioned to the host that I might further extend my stay till Monday, he stated that I would have to switch spot if I wanted to stay till Monday, from the website it doesn't appear that this site was rented. As I was unpacking, the host dropped off an envelope, and told me that payment had to be submitted within 30 minutes of arrival, and that he shouldn't have allowed me "entrance ", and that I needed to follow rules. The fire pit was full of ashes, obviously it hadn't been cleaned in quite a while. In another hand, the occupant of the spot next to me ran his generator tii past midnight. I was hoping that the attendant would go ask this occupants to turn off their generator but he didn't until I voiced the fact that I couldn't sleep, and 10 pm was long past, quite time that is. Obviously rules are imposed to some select. What a sad experience, and a turn off,
Very nice campground, well maintained. Endless trails. Joe and Nancy are great camp hosts and they truly understand horse people.
