The campground offers a pleasant experience, despite some inconveniences. Notably, raccoons may attempt to access any food left outside designated storage containers. The towering trees provide an aesthetically pleasing backdrop, and the hiking trails leading to the coast are easily navigable. However, it is worth noting that during weekends, certain individuals disregard the park's regulations regarding noise levels. For instance, our neighboring campers erected their tent at 10 p.m., causing significant disturbance. Aside from this issue, the park provides a satisfactory recreational environment.

This place has some amazing views, great walks, decent visitors center. The beach is a bit rocky, but absolutely with visiting. They also have beach wheelchairs you can borrow (the hours though are not great for renting them).

This one of of the most beautiful hiker/biker sites but… the racoons are savage. We had a terrible experience with the racoons. They stole what ever was left on our bikes even though we put our food in the food boxes. They ate lens wipes, throat lozange, stole one guys sunglasses and so much more. When I told the ranger in the morning what a problem we had with them and she said don’t tell anyone. But really as a hiker/biker with no vehicle to keep your stuff in I would recommend putting all bags attached to your bikes in the food cache. Or by pass as other reviews talk about the showers etc

Aside from the free wifi, there's no reason worth staying here. The showers are $2 for 3 minutes, and there's only one for the entire campground. Apperantly this place is also pretty popular, meaning that even in October the place was packed. The real kicker is the raccoons. We saw 2 raccoons stare at us while we made dinner at 6pm, and somehow by 7/8pm there were at least 6 running around the entire campground. They crawled around all of our equipment and into our tents with little deterrent from us. This place has a legitimate pest problem, and should stop operating as a campground to deal with it. Do not stay, just keep moving along.

This place is awesome. I’m not usually this enamored with organized campgrounds, but the sites are spaced well and the facilities are clean. It was very quiet at night, so quiet that we could actually hear the ocean while laying in our tents. The trees are stunning of course and it’s not a big campground so it’s not a ton of people. The beach for pulling out our kayaks was the only downside, there’s not any easy flat spots to beach. The river itself was shockingly clear and very peaceful: slow-flowing and wide in many places. The walk to the coast is about 1.5 miles one way, depending on which site you are at. Book early if you want to stay here though because it literally is booked six months out if you need to go on a weekend.
