This campground is renowned for its spacious sites, stunning lake views, and a tranquil environment that makes it an ideal spot for camping, RV stays, and family gatherings.

Gull Point Campground provides a range of amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. While the campground features vault-style outhouses, it is important to note that there are no showers available. The reservoir is a hub for water activities such as paddleboarding, fishing, and birdwatching, with minimal motorboat traffic to ensure a peaceful experience.

Customer feedback highlights the beauty and spaciousness of the campground, with many visitors praising the scenic views and the opportunity to connect with nature. One reviewer mentioned, "Pretty nice campground on the Wickiup reservoir. Lots of space. My girlfriend and I took her dog with us, and he had a blast running around the reservoir chasing birds and chipmunks." Another visitor shared, "I really liked it because there is so much space to run around the reservoir. We took a paddleboard out, and it was nice and smooth on the water. Not too many motor boats. Beautiful views all around the lake."

However, some guests have expressed concerns about the availability of facilities and interactions with the hosts. A recent review noted, "Hosts are very rude. Reservations are hard to get. Place sells out as soon as slots are available. Bathrooms were out of service for over 3 weeks at the time we left (could still be out for all I know). Only working toilet was an outhouse next to the boat launch." Despite these challenges, many visitors find the natural beauty and recreational opportunities at Gull Point Campground to be worth the visit.

For those planning a trip, it is advisable to book early due to high demand. Whether you're looking for a weekend getaway or an extended stay, Gull Point Campground offers a unique blend of natural beauty and outdoor activities that will create lasting memories.

Hosts are very rude. Reservations are hard to get. Place sells out as soon as slots are available. Bathrooms were out of service for over 3 weeks at the time we left (could still be out for all I know). Only working toilet was an outhouse next to the boat launch. When we asked the host when the bathrooms might be fixed since part of the price you pay is for flushing toilets she said “do I look like a plumber?!” and told us it’ll get fixed when it gets fixed, We called 2 weeks after the bathrooms closed to find out from higher ups and they said they weren’t even aware the service was out!! It’s a beautiful place, but the way we were treated was awful, the bathrooms were out the entire time we were there and the outhouse wasn’t accessible except climbing over a 2’ tall fallen tree or walking the 3 miles around it. Our party was over 30 people and multiple of us had negative interactions with the host, one lady was brought to tears because of the host demanding she pay for a second car overnight when she had only been parked there 5 minutes and had come to spend a couple hours with us to visit before returning home. A few even had run ins with the host harassing them to pay for days they weren’t even staying. Most of us went home early. Get rid of this host!!! They’re awful.

Pretty nice campground on the Wickiup reservoir. Lots of space. My girlfriend and I took her dog with us and he had a blast running around the reservoir chasing birds and chipmunks. I really liked it because there is so much space to run around the reservoir. We took A paddleboard out and it was nice and smooth on the water. Not too many motor boats. Beautiful views all around the lake. No showers at this campground. The bathrooms are vault style outhouses, so they can normally get a little stinky and lots of flies coming from the vault. Overall totally worth it.

Beautiful campground right next to Wickiup. Friendly staff and easy to find. Pretty cool to see deer walking around like they own the place. Would highly recommend this campground if you want to get out camping.

Clean campground, great hosts that were on top of everything. Can't go wrong with flush toilets and running water.

I made the nearly 4 hour drive from Vancouver to come here. Okay so some things to keep in mind about Gull Point. The campground is well maintained and operated by Hoodoo. The staff was super friendly. There's running water, some flush toilets and also pit toilets, which weren't too bad/dirty. There are NO RV hookups for water or power, but there is a dump station nearby. The sites are spacious, clean and you aren't super close to your neighbors, but you can see them. This place is amazing. It is on Wickiup Reservoir if you like to fish, hike, boat, kayak, camp, or sight see. From the water you can see South Sister, Middle Sister, Diamond Peak, Mt. Bachelor and some other mountains/volcanoes. It's so pretty. Yes, it's pretty busy in the summer. If you are a geology or volcano nerd like me, you will love this place. Tons to do and see as the Newberry Volcanic Monument is a 25 minute drive, Bend is 35 minutes, and Sisters is about 50 minutes, so you get Mt. Bachelor, Sun River, Smith Rock and all manner of reservoirs, hiking, or biking to your hearts galore. Check out Lava Butte as you get to hike up a lava flow and for $4 ride the shuttle to the top and hike around the crater rim. I recommend this place if you want somewhere that's sort of rugged but don't want to give up some niceties. The only strikes I give it is your neighbors across the reservoir are dispersion campers and bring their dirt bikes and quads (OHV parks are close by) and party at night at times so it's noisy in the day, and it's popular with young people who get rowdy and loud at night.
