They need to make half stars as this is a 3.5 star campground. It’s clean , well minus the trash in and on the opposite side of the creek that doesn’t get picked up . Bath Houses are nice and clean , only one has showers but they are very nice . Lots of dog crap everywhere , I hate lazy dog owners . Sites can be close together near the creek and in the middle of the campground , the only larger sites are right next to the road and that traffic is heard all night . If you are passing through and visiting the downtown area this is for you , you can walk but most will need to drive which kind of defeats a campground in a national park but it’s unique to the area . Lots of things to visit and do so if our just looking for a place to sleep then you found your place . If you want something little more immersed in nature then stay at Ouachita State Park .

TL;DR: Gulpha Springs Campground offers nice bathrooms but closely packed sites, which can be noisy for tent campers. Avoid Spot 34 due to the communal trash bin. Gulpha Springs Campground in Hot Springs National Park is an okay option for camping. While there are plenty of spots, they are very close together, which might be an issue if you’re a light sleeper in a tent, as camper noise can be a disturbance. The bathrooms are very nice and clean, but access is locked (you’ll get the code in your welcome email). However, there are only two bathrooms in the main bathhouse, so that’s something to keep in mind. If you’re picking a site, I’d recommend avoiding Spot 34—it’s located right next to the communal trash bin, which isn’t ideal. Overall, it’s a decent campground but has a few drawbacks, especially for tent campers.

Beautiful campground in Hot Springs. Hard to get a site so reserve in advance. Park rangers and volunteers drive around and there is a visitor center, but no rangers seem to be present. The gorge is beautiful and peaceful. We love walking in it.

Gulpha Gorge Campground is a perfect basecamp for exploring Hot Springs National Park! This smaller campground packs in everything you need for a comfortable stay. Our site was ideally situated right next to a bubbling creek, providing a peaceful soundtrack to our camping experience. The paved parking pad was wonderfully level - a detail that RVers will definitely appreciate. The bathrooms were a standout feature: private, spotlessly clean, and equipped with excellent heaters that made a big difference in comfort. What really sets this campground apart is its location. The direct access to hiking trails is incredible - we completed a beautiful 7-mile hike over Hot Springs and North Mountains right from our campsite. No need to drive anywhere to start your adventure! While the campground may be compact in size, it delivers big on amenities and location. If you're planning to explore Hot Springs National Park, you couldn't ask for a better place to stay. The combination of comfortable facilities, peaceful creek-side setting, and immediate trail access makes this 5-star campground a real find!

Visited the campground for 3 nights. Felt very secure. The campground is well taken care of. There are some well maintained trails nearby. There was water and electrical hookups. There were two sides to the bathhouse and it had good water pressure and was secure for those staying in the campground. The sites were small. We wouldn't have been able to camp in a tent on grass if we had taken a tent with us. We were thankfully in a camper but still had a small space.

Gulpha Gorge is such a beautiful place. The one side with the camping spots is very nice place for you to get in the water. Has picnic tables and clean restrooms. Places for tents and I believe some campers. Very peaceful. I would recommend going there if you are ever in Hot springs. Even on the opposite side of the road is beautiful running water that runs over big rocks. Loved it.

This is one of my favorite national park stops for overnight because they are so clean and so quiet. The grounds are well kept and the bathrooms are really, really clean(at least the one that you need a code to get in). I frequented here when I car camped and tent camped. The hot water in the showers gets really hot (and I love hot showers). Here’s a cheat code for the women… the women’s bathroom with the shower will sometimes have a line, but there’s never a line on the men’s side … so just go use the men’s shower room, they are identical minus the urinal. There are some nice trickling streams on the side of where you park and you can get some really good pictures. Again it’s just one of my favorite stops because it’s so clean and quiet.

Absolutely wonderful place to RV and stay for vacation when visiting Hot Springs, AR. This has to be the best campground spots we've stayed at. Our site was right on the creek with a spectacular view and calm surrounding of the park. The trails that lead right into the hot springs downtown were also very fun to hike and see. We will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Very pretty campground with a clear rushing creek. Sites near the creek are a bit small, but are larger up the hill. Public restrooms but no shower facilities. Very close (5 min.) to downtown.
