Campground has lots of space between sites. Awesome location. Nice dump station. But most importantly, the staff is amazing. Camp host let all of us know of the incoming weather and gave Halloween bags to the kiddos. Thank you very much.

I’m doing this review because there really isn’t much information out there for this campground. I wish I had known more about it before tent camping here. Tent camping: All sites are gravel (large gravel) no tent pads/sand area to build your tent on. The website indicates it allows for tent camping BUT, this campground is made for RV specifically. If you’re thinking of booking a “pull through” thinking you can set your tent on the ground with plenty of space, you’d be disappointed. We had site #29, a pull through site and had to move the picnic table around to place our tent on the cement floor because there literally was no place to set up. My opinion, all site access pull through was NOT tent “friendly” however, drive in was. Site by the lake (see map photo): Our campsite was across from the lake, so was site #24-28 & 13. Site 27-28 was literally next to the restroom. Site 23 (not on the map) I’d say was the best location with your own space away from everyone, also near the lake. Although all the sites are walkable to the lake. The lake/sand area: didn’t seems very clean. Couldn’t let the kid walk without shoes because of broken glass everywhere. Overall, it’s a great campground. Everyone was quiet and clean. Very empty, lots of open sites available for walk-in. About 95% RVers and saw 3 other tent campers. I think if this SP really want to get their campground full, they need to make it tent friendly. Cows roam free range which was no problem as long as you kept your food away. They come really close to campground, I wanted to take one home lol. The restrooms and showers are great, clean, flushable toilets, hot water and didn’t stink.

I think overall, the camp spot we had was nice! Very beautiful area! We stayed at site 23, which in my opinion was the best spot overall, even though we did have some issues. It was right up on the water. the grounds were kept really nice and bathrooms were so clean and comfortable to use. Our neighbors were far enough away that we did not disturb each other and everyone (that was camping there) was overall respectful. However, because prior to booking I had no idea that the camp ground was located right where all the fisherman and random people come to enjoy the lake, we ended up being right smack dab in the middle of all the day action. Our camp spot backed up to a road that was frequently driven up and down throughout the day and also the night, this becomes kind of a nuisance after a while as we got dust in our tent a few times that choked us out every time, we ended up having to shut our tent all night even though it was very hot. We had multiple people also walking right through our campground to get to the water. We did have a night where a man drove up his sus looking car and parked it right outside our site and when the camp host wanted him to leave after close, he was belligerent and rude. Quite honestly the fact that people try to sneak and stay past close for fishing is really uncomfortable especially if your in a tent that someone could easily get access to and possibly hurt you or steal your things. Though I guess that’s what comes with public campgrounds, just sucks that you pay so much in fees for a single piece of ground to camp on and everyone is walking up on it or through it. I think this campground would be much more enjoyable if it was closed to the general public but this might upset more people than not. Overall, I’d say this camp spot is great for 1-2 day use if you don’t mind people but if you’re looking to get away from people then don’t have high expectations because this place is swarmed with people all day long. the camp host was also very nice and I really appreciated how frequently they cleaned the rest rooms considering how often the random lake goers were using them and completely thrashing them after a few hours. I think next time we will use free camping around the park and somewhere with more shade and privacy.

Waterfalls were dry even though state park said they were flowing. If you're planning on tent camping make sure you bring your tent footprint ground is way too rocky for a tents.

It's convenient because you can put it in the lake in front of you and there is a shower and a power supply.
