Highly recommend this campground! The wooded sites are well shaded, spread out and close to a lot of trails to start and end your day. The electric sites are in wooded rows to keep you in the shade 90% of the day, which was also appreciated. Hot and clean showers, too! Here's a pic of my doggie cooling off at the trail near our campsite.
Went in fall, so pretty quiet and empty. But it was perfect because we came for the ziplining. Restaurants are within 10 -15 minutes away. Or within resort area there is the patio Restaurant.
Had an amazing time here at this campground. Staff gave us a sweet spot right next to a creek. Super spacious with plenty of room to park your car. Tons of hiking trails around if you like to hike. Visit the resort if you feel like zip lining or having a drink. We mostly hiked the whole time. Tons of fun. The general store had last minute things we needed. Lady was super nice too. The amenities were great. Bath / laundry was very clean. Plenty of showers to pick from. Oh, they are FREE! No coin OP showers here.
Mixed experience. Went off season (10/12-10/17) to enjoy the peace and quiet of off season camping. Only a few campers there. Sites and facility very mice, clean, BUT! They decided that this was a good time to excavate the drainage snails in our area! Diesel excavator, dump truck operating within 20 feet of our site! Noise, diesel exhaust, for 2 1/2 days! This couldn't wait a couple days when they close for the season? Expressed my displeasure at check out and showed them a video of them excavating right outside our camper, no one there that could really give a crap! Obviously no communication between reservation department and maintenance departments.
I just realized I posted my review to the resort and not the campground. Whoops! My family loves coming here! We also stay on Brooke Run, site 254 every time. Such a spacious and beautiful site. This week, we were very pleased to have some company. A group of 6 ducks stayed with us majority of our stay. I've yet to have a bad experience here. I've been recommended this place to anyone looking for a campground!
