Our room must have been in the middle of renovations because the bathroom had dry wall dust all over the tub. There was also a pretty large mold spot in the ceiling. There was a whole team (I'm assuming basketball) staying there the same night and they were more than occupying the pool/hot tub so we chose not to go down the night we got in, hoping to hit them both in the morning before we checked out...unfortunately the hot tub didn't open until 10:30, with a check-out at 11. Then at our free breakfast a woman that worked there was hovering over us while we picked out food. I was trying to scoop out eggs and the woman told me to shut the lid twice, and stood over my husband watching him make waffles...We will not be back to this Hampton Inn.

IF YOU NEED LODGING IN BATAVIA, DO NOT STAY HERE! We have been staying at this location for over 10 years and it has always been a positive experience. The employees at the front desk have always been, and still are, very pleasant and helpful. It ends there! Our room smelled of urine so I brought it to the attention of staff. They came in and sprayed everything with bleach which eliminated the urine smell but created another odor issue. Nearly everything in the place has a sign on it that says “out of order” with the exception of the room keys. They work sporadically! During our 3 night stay, the 2 large dogs in the room next to us barked nonstop until the early morning hours. I see where the owner responds to most reviews that are critical of his establishment by saying that he is concerned and will address the issues noted! No you’re not! You could care less as you have been saying the same thing for over a year now! You are destroying this business and if you think that changing the name will help, you are mistaken!

Looking for a hotel with great amenities for your family to enjoy while visiting the Batavia area? Don’t go here! Unless you enjoy looking at the “out of order” signs posted on everything from the business center computers, treadmills (both broken!), pool and spa heater broken (ice baths are good for you?) and vending machine areas (what’s happening behind the weird tarp?) Also not great to visit in the winter time as it appears there plows truck has a sign as well. And not just a one day snow, we’re talking several days after the snow where the snow packs up nice and icy and makes it a near ice rink. If you do decide to stay, make sure to bring your Yukon Cornelius pick, it may come in handy! The place feels exhausted, like they’re running off a 2009 refresh that just doesn’t cut it. Breakfast in the morning wasn’t bad, but nothing amazing. Mostly Sysco foods heat and eat cuisine. If you’re still reading and going anyways, you gotta check out Eli’s Fish downtown. Now that’s a business that gets it, don’t miss that for a good pour and solid food.

Location is about the only good thing that can be said about this hotel. Definitely disappointing and does not even come close to living up to the Hampton inn brand and or Hilton name. Rooms not cleaned well at all, even whole empty boxes of trash left in rooms. Coffee station at breakfast doesn't even have creamer or sleeves for the cups. Can't even get into everything else that was wrong. Will go out of my way to stay somewhere else if ever back in the area.

Ridiculously over priced...on checking into our room we found old, stale smelly food from a previous guest in the refrigerator. When we reported this to reception and asked for it to be cleaned they told us there was no-one available, we said that wasn't our problem and eventually it was removed. The hallway smelled like someone was trying to disguise the smell of a rotting corpse. The receptionist when we checked in was dressed inappropriately (I thought she was on the cleaning staff). Everything felt tired and faded. The coffee maker in the room was so cheap I felt if I pressed the button it would fall apart. Breakfast items were cheap and tasteless (although surprisingly the bagels and coffee were ok). When our room was eventually cleaned after two days the trash bin wasn't emptied, and although the dirty towels were removed, they didn't leave any clean ones in their place. All in all, this is a pretty poor hotel, and considering it trades under the Hilton name, it was quite disgraceful, especially given the outrageous price. Outside the hotel wasn't any better than inside. There is no justification for such poor attention to basics. AVOID
