Hampton Inn by Hilton Kamloops

We stayed at the hotel for three nights. The breakfast staff was diligent in promptly replenishing any food that ran out. The waffle machine made perfect waffles, and the batter had a great texture. On our last morning, the kids noticed the kitchen staff preparing a new red-colored waffle batter and were eager to try it. I asked when the batter would be ready, and Gina explained that it was being prepared for the next day’s breakfast. She told me that the batter needed continuous mixing until it became smooth, and she had just started the process. I mentioned that the kids were really hoping to try the new flavor that day. Gina said that if we didn’t mind the batter being slightly imperfect and possibly having a few lumps, she could let both kids have a taste of the special Valentine’s Day pink waffles. The kids were thrilled to try the limited-edition waffles, and more than just the color, the taste was amazing. Gina even decorated the waffles for them, making the experience even more special. Her kindness made us feel so lucky to have chosen this hotel.

We booked with an online booking site and the price was super cheap. Realizing that was because they were under renovation when we arrived. We were also disappointed because the waterside was closed cus it was too cold because the slide goes outside. Understandable. All that being said, the service was excellent, the pool and hot tub were clean and nice and the breakfast was decent for a hotel breakfast. I'd stay here again.

Very disappointed, hotel is a construction site, no mentioning of that on the Hampton website when I booked. Meantime you are still charged full rate. Cleanliness is not their strength either. If you are under construction make your guests aware of that before they book. At the bare minimum adjust your rates if your hotel is a construction site and don’t charge full rates.

Service was great despite the hotel being under full renovation. Breakfast was okay. But lots of food and weee able to accommodate several sports teams at one time.

Used to stay here all the time. It’s really gone down hill. They have been under renovation for some time….its smell of paint is unpleasant. The renovations are painfully slow. I was here 6 weeks ago the emergency phone in the gym is still not working. There still is no water available there. I will stay elsewhere. The positive reviews on here must be old. Its quite grubby. It looks like management dont care to even fix the easy issues.
