Nice stay! Rosario in particular is a wonderful staff member who always has a smile on her face and always says hello! The rooms are very clean and roomy. The only complaint we have is the breakfast staff needs help. The food area was fine, but the tables were not kept clean. Food was okay but we have had much better in smaller, non chain hotels. Still, a nice stay.
I’m in the middle of a 2 week stay here for work reasons. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the hotel is very clean and quiet. Every morning breakfast is open at promptly 6am, and the food is great! I wish there was more variety, but I really can’t complain otherwise. They even allow dogs for a $75 fee, which was nice when my wife and pup came for a visit. Rooms are cleaned every other day, which is nice to not have to worry about it every single day. My stay has been great here. When I wasn’t working, I was close enough to Folly Beach, downtown Charleston, Mt. Pleasant, and many other attractions that could keep me busy. I would definitely stay here again for business and/or pleasure.
As a traveling team, my husband & I do our best to give truthful feedback and constructive criticism. Hampton Inn is a trusted go-to where we always expect a clean room and comfy beds while traveling. We came to town to write a Google contribution on budget friendly stays, in and near, Charleston. Location: while this is an affordable option & Mount Pleasant is a safe place, we didn’t notice street signs for Sessions Way, so when we got to the vicinity, we drove around & around as GPS got all mixed up & we struggled to find the hotel which is tucked behind another property. Check in was smooth, front desk clerks were nice. Our room was spacious and clean. We did notice that we could hear the person next door in their bathroom. The wall felt like it lacked some insulation. Not sure. The person sneezed several times and we could hear it clear as day and flushing as well, which kept me awake. We would also like for the hotel to do away with placing clean towels over toilets. According to research, water spray can reach up to 4.9 feet above the toilet bowl. Most of the spray consists of tiny particles that are invisible without special equipment. There is a lot of empty space below the sink for built in towel cabinets. Designers need to work on this for future hotels. Staff: In the morning, as I tried to get my coffee, what appeared to be housekeeping or kitchen staff? Not sure which one, but she walked up to get a coffee stepping in front of me, and as I approached to look at breakfast options, another employee stepped in to grab a yoplait/yogurt. I have never encountered employees at any hotel we have stayed at, ever do such things. Not professional. If a manger is reading this review, please talk to your staff. Other than what we shared, Hampton Inn is still a good value. A short car ride to Charleston & the beaches as they are convenient from this location, once you find it.
Great and convenient hotel at Patriots Point right across the bridge from downtown Charleston/French Quarter. The price and value is great as compared to hotels in downtown and its 10 minute drive to downtown. Breakfast was good and convenient and had a lot of options. Some of the staff (person who checked me in and some other person I asked questions to) was kinda rude and did not care about helping guests I felt. The reason the review is not lower is because other staff were very nice.
We don't normally stay at the Hampton Inn, but we got a nice package deal for the stay, and it was near the Patriots Point Naval museum. The hotel is tucked back from Highway 17, which actually makes it quiet. Check-in was a snap. The interior accessed rooms are nice and clean, and there are a sufficient number of outlets and ports to charge all of your devices. Modern USB ports was always a stickler when I was a business traveler and has stayed with me since retiring. The beds are on the firm side, but again, the room was very clean, which is the expectation. The hotel is close to a wide variety of dining, including upscale dining opportunities. Breakfast was typical for this level of hotel. Checkout was also effortless. Whether a single, couple, or family, the Hampton Inn should meet your needs. Enjoy!
