Hampton Inn Columbia I-20-Clemson Road

The only reason I gave two stars is because the photos on the website for this hotel was nothing compared to what it actually looks like. I have stayed in several Hampton inn in the past, that were beautiful high class. Sorry to say this one was probably only three stars. The front desk personnel were pleasant and nice. The staff that cleans the rooms were a little unpleasant, not friendly at all. I would mention the appearance of the rooms and the hallways, but I’d rather not put this on the website. i’m not looking to tarnish the reputation of Hampton Inn. I’m pretty sure they know what I’m talking about.

This place is disgustingly dirty and unsafe. The rooms have bugs in them and there are people walking around the parking lot looking in car windows, which made us feel very unsafe. When we brought these issues up to the staff (especially Tina) they were all extremely rude and unaccommodating.

This location is nice and safe. I would advise you turn onto Clemson road from I-20 because if you come from the other direction of Clemson road there is no turn sign on the traffic light and you will sit there forever. The hotel is tucked away in a corner and very nice inside. Breakfast was okay. The cranberry juice is Good!!! The front desk staff is nice and the place was clean overall. The room was spacious and felt like a studio apartment. The bathroom is beautiful.

Ridiculous this is advertized as a 3-star! Very loud ac units that only go to 75 °F. They changed me rooms because I thought my unit was bad, but they're just really old ac models. Cold and noisy rooms!! I'm having a bad night.

My husband stayed here for a work trip and he enjoyed his stay. He said the rooms are very nice. He liked the fact that they had continental breakfast and a pool.
