Hampton Inn Cumming

Our room smelled straight up like cat urine. We paid $75 for dog so I would think they could clean carpets. Mattress needs replaced. Room cost $286. Meeting room was not set up after paying $250. No TV and when they finally got one in there, the volume did not work. I’m an Honors member and always stay at Hampton, very disappointed with Cumming GA location and will not return!

We were headed here for a softball clinic. The clinic director cancelled the event on the day of check in, while we were on our drive down. I immediately called the hotel and asked if there was any way to get a full or partial refund. The very kind young lady at the front desk put me on hold and called the manager. She said the manger agreed to a full refund, even though that wasn't their normal policy. I asked her if I could please call back in 5 minutes or less to confirm with our head coach that we would not be going. I called back less than 5 minutes later and the young woman at the front desk said that her manager had changed his mind. I asked if I could speak with the manager and he refused to call me and said I could call back after midnight when his shift started. I called at 12:21am, after driving back home, and spoke with Sam. He told me he could not issue a refund or cancel the second night because it was booked with partial points and payment, that I would have to call the main Hampton corporate line. I did so and the customer service rep said he would have to call the hotel and get permission from the manager to cancel. He put me on hold and called Sam, and said Sam refused. I called back to the direct hotel number and no one answered. The next day, I called the hotel again, left a voicemail on Sam's voicemail asking for him to call me. That was a month ago and Sam has never called me and refuses to take my calls. I asked for the second night to be cancelled and it wasn't. I was charged the full amount for two nights after being told they would give me first a full refund, then a partial refund. I understand a business has to make money, but when you give someone your word, it should be upheld. Sam is not an honorable manager who keeps his word and he put his very nice, front desk lady in a very difficult position by having her do his dirty work to tell me he had changed his mind.

This hotel is in a great location with easy access to the highway. I felt very safe outside and around this area. All Employees are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is average for free hotel breakfast. Coffee is great. Check in was easy. Room was extremely quiet and the HVAC worked perfectly. Room was also clean. Hotel had a lot of people staying in it but never seemed crowded or loud. Minor issue of having no conditioner in the shower and a towel hook fell off the wall which you could tell wasn’t the 1st or 2nd time.

It’s always a pleasure to stay in such a peaceful place. We travel a lot for work so I m glad this hotel has been part of our company places where the crew stays. The bed comfortable, love a nice relaxed shower and the breakfast was wonderful. Thank you

$150 a night and they offer no tub to lay in to relax to take a bath. Only a walk in shower. Breakfast the next day was a joke. Says breakfast buffet type but we went down there and the buffet was out of food and they said 7 minutes for sausage 8 minutes for omelets and 30 minutes for potatoes. We had places to be so we ended up with no breakfast. Terrible experience. Also they put us at the top of the hotel. When we checked in right after 3pm handicap with the ice machine not working on the top floor so we had to go back and forth to different floors to get ice for the room.
