Hampton Inn Fairhope-Mobile Bay

Loved this hotel! Room was clean and quiet and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were all great and the inside of the hotel was beautiful. And the best part was the location! You are at the heart of it all and can walk to everything. Such a hidden gem and can’t wait to stay here the next time we are in town!

Hotel was clean and the workers were all friendly. We accidentally left a few articles of clothing and they were prompt to get in touch to get them back to us. The location is perfect to walk around town to the shops and cafes.

Our 1st night’s stay was a Friday night and it was terrible.The toilet seat was a round padded cushioned seat placed on an elongated toilet seat. It was awful. When seated the ceramic seat stuck out under you. I have never seen this in a hotel room ever! The curtains had something horrible staining the bottom of them and what appeared to be vomit splatters on the shears. Also had a foul smell. My husband spoke with the desk agent and showed him a picture and he couldn’t believe someone put a toilet seat in like that. Unsanitary! He said it was probably done by a contractor and he would put in an order to have it replaced but no one came. Day 2! still no help and we were told the manager would be in the next day. On Sunday we went and spoke to the manager and he couldn’t believe the pics we showed him. He offered to move us to the room next door and that was it. We moved to a clean room and it was fine. On Tuesday we left at 7am and returned at 1:30pm and our room was not cleaned or freshened up. This was our scheduled day for service. We called and all the housekeeping people were gone for the day. The desk agent came and took out our garbage and gave us fresh towels. She was extremely nice and we were grateful. I would never stay here again. Part of our family just moved to Fairhope so we plan to visit this beautiful town often but the Hampton Inn will not be on our stay list. We have been offered nothing for the nasty room and accommodations.. So disappointed because the location is wonderful. The building has seen better days but the filth is inexcusable!

If you want to be stolen from stay here! I asked for 2 towels to be brought to my room. In my room I had several valuables next to my bed on the night stand. I came back from breakfast to find all of my stuff stolen from my night stand including My medications (adderall) and my vibrator! Like who does that. That’s gross! Seriously!! The manager was unable to get my items back. Made a police report for investigation. Please, do not stay here. You ask for towels but they are going to come in your room and steal your stuff.

I had a horrible experience. I don't usually write reviews especially bad ones but I got so upset and felt like it should be shared. I booked online in January for a reservation that was for this Sat Feb 22 as it was a mardi gras parade which my husband was riding in. I received a confirmation number in January when I booked also I kept getting confirmation emails getting closer to time. I went to check in on Sat and was told that there was a "glitch" in the system and they didn't have a room available for me. I did show them my verification emails and confirmations however I was told when you book online there is always a risk that this could happen. The front desk receptionist was very nice and called the assistant manager and tried to call the general manager several times but she never answered. I was told that I would not be charged since I wasn't staying but she assured me that a manager would call me first thing Monday morning. No surprise no one has called. I called hilton as it is the parent company and filed a formal complaint. I was told by hilton there was no glitch that the hotel simply overbooked. I am very disappointed in this hotel and the customer service side of things. The front desk receptionist did say that when dealing with this hotel its always best to call the front desk to book instead of booking online.
