I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn in Helen, GA, for the New Year's Eve festivities, and it was an excellent experience! The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk from all the shops and attractions, making it super convenient for exploring the charming town. Despite being close to the action, the hotel itself is quiet and quaint, offering a peaceful retreat after a busy day. The staff was incredibly friendly, with special thanks to Hannah at the front desk, who went above and beyond to make sure we were having a great stay. It was nice to feel so well taken care of throughout our visit. The hotel is also very pet-friendly and family-friendly, which made it a perfect choice for our trip. Overall, the Hampton Inn in Helen provided a wonderful home base for ringing in the new year, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
I'm leaving a review because I almost canceled my reservations after reading the reviews left by others. I'm glad I kept my reservation. I'm not sure if they fixed the "problems" other reported, but I did not have any issues. This is a Hampton Inn, not a Hilton - you should not expect the same thing. The rooms were clean. The hotel was a bit dated, just like every hotel in Helen seems to be. The breakfast was great - the attendant was on top of it and kept everything fresh and hot. The location was fantastic for walking most everywhere you'd want to in Helen. I'm not sure what others experienced during their stay, but mine was fine and I'd gladly stay there again.
This hotel was great. It’s located right in the middle of Helen, an easy walk to all the sights and great restaurants. The staff was incredibly friendly, especially Tina, Tyne and Hannah. The room was great and we very much enjoyed our stay. Thank you!! 😊
Not bad! I'm not sure just how old this Hampton is, but it is surely a tired one and could use a little Hilton love! The rooms are fine (nothing special), and seem to be clean. The bed is not as comfortable as other Hamptons we've stayed at, but they are not uncomfortable either. We did not eat breakfast here, but looked at the breakfast area and it seemed fine, with the usual self service options (scramble eggs, biscuits & gravy, cereal, bagles & English muffins, waffles, coffee, etc). What is great about this Hampton is that it is the perfect location to stay when you are visiting Helen. You can leave your car at the hotel all day and walk to EVERYTHING in town (restaurants, bars, shops, tubing). Despite not giving this hotel 5 stars, we will definitely stay here again in the future.
This Hampton inn deserves a one star to be honest the location is great your at a walking distance to everything but the hotel is very dirty. The room as soon you walk in the carpet was extremely dirty the bed sheets were not clean at all there was someone else hair on the sheets and pillow cases and they didn’t look white at all. I was just disgusted. Also the entrance of the building which is the most important part when you arrive was completely full of trash the guy in the front was very rude. Never again. And I did read others reviews just wanted to give them a chance but not worth it.
