Hampton Inn Janesville

I don’t typically write reviews, but this place deserves one. The staff were so kind and accommodating. They were all so sweet to my dog, and so warm and welcoming to me just grabbing coffee in the morning. Wonderful staff, clean, and comfortable. Best hotel I’ve stayed at thus far.

Starting to slip!! I've been coming to this location yearly sometimes twice a year for many years! But we're starting to see this hotel slip on quality. It's not bad by any means but signs are showing of things slipping... Caulk in the showers are molding and cracking and just look nasty. Rusty ceiling sprinkler caps (yes it's a bathroom but no excuse not to replace when gets looking like this) door was broken to bathroom and damaged when we came to stay. We did inform the staff and they were courteous and asked if we wld like another room which we declined as we just wanted make them aware so we wouldn't be charged. Maintenance should of never let something like that go. Breakfast we had at 8 (starts at 6 to 10) was running out with no one present like in the past refilling and wiping things down and keeping on top of it. Oatmeal was watered down and almost gone, scrambed eggs are of cheap quality and running out when 5 people were behind me, sausage was decent but looked disgusting. Orange juice was in small aluminum covered cups and were half frozen. Fingerprints were so thick on the breakfast stuff it wasn't very clean feeling with no one around to keep this stuff clean and stocked. Maybe their short staffed but some of these issues don't happen overnight. Peeling paint in the bathrooms. It's all the little things that start to add up that make for a run down experience. We never look for any other place but next visit later this year we will at least explore other options. Id be willing to see if they can improve but last year I started to notice a few things but still was good. This time it's double the issues. Staff as always are amazing! Best thing going for it. The owner needs to start paying attention to the details and spend some money and keep up on this place. Little elbow grease and attention will keep this hotel top notch and the best place to stay. Most of the room other then bathroom is still nice, comfortable beds and pretty clean. So like I said the place is still good but it's starting to slip. Again I don't know the situation maybe they need more help and the owner is being cheap not hiring enough people but the staff is amazing here I do not blame the front desk or cleaners. These issues go more towards the owner not spending the money and or a poor maintenance man and possibly lack of staff in the mornings.

Nice room and comfortable bed. Breakfast was good. Pool area disgusting. There are ants all over and food. It was never cleaned from night before.

Usually I would rate my stay once I have checked out. I arrived to location around 11:30 am. My digital key was ready. I proceeded to my room and my luggage that I had shipped to hotel was already in my room. I have been a hilton diamond member for over 6 years and never have I had that type of service. Usually I would have to go to front desk and receive my luggage but not this time. I went to the front desk and was greeted by Jordan. I had to personally thank her for the service of having my luggage already staged in my room. This treatment exceeded my expectations. The room was cleaned and I had no issues. I have stayed in many hiltons/hampton inn that were newer and had a little more amenities but this hotel here rank as my number one hampton inn in the USA. The friendly staff and the warmth of the staff going beyond their duties really impress me. This is a true hidden gem. Thank you Jordan for your engagement level and going one step further to make my stay pleasant. You made this hotel my highest rank hampton inn in the states.

Love the atmosphere here, very clean, cleanliness, great staff, been here twice now, beds are comfortable:)
