I was there during the week of 12-22 thru 12-28-24, very nice, clean hotel. It was centrally located, easy access to the highway, room was very spacious, the bed/pillows were very comfortable and the staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. The breakfast they served was good, I'd definitely stay there again and I'd definitely recommend this hotel, great place to stay at. The only bad thing I'd have to say is the parking spaces were kinda tight, there's less room than what I'm used to. There's a In-n-Out Burger right next door within walking distance, I personally didn't care for it, I'm more of a Whataburger person myself. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and recommend them 100%
Cons: Barn door for the bathroom door - not a good idea in a house but definitely not a great idea in a hotel room. These offer absolutely zero privacy. Parking was pretty rough since the In-N-Out shares the parking lot. Their drive-thru snakes through the parking lot and essentially blocks the spaces all night (they close at 1am). We had to park in the back every single time. Good location for the hotel - bad location for the In-N-Out since they know what their drive-thru is always like. There were some homeless on the other side of the fence a few days but at no time did we feel unsafe for us or our rental car. The back was well lit. Pros: The facility is very clean. The parking lot was always clean as was all of the common areas. We're picky and check for gross things and bug things no matter where we stay and in our room there was nothing at all. The cleaning staff was very friendly in the hall every time we passed them, always smiling and greeting us. There is a bit of road noise between the hotel and Home Depot across the street, but that was really only annoying when someone purposely revved their engine or a motorcycle sped through but not much the hotel can do about that. We didn't stay on the highway side to judge that noise level but from the parking lot it actually seemed quiet. We spoke with a lady one evening and a man one morning at the front desk and both were very friendly. I did crack a joke with the lady about the parking situation in front and I'm sure she was tired of hearing it and slightly raised an eyebrow - a man knows when he gets that he needs to shut up and stop joking :-) Overall: Will definitely make sure to book this hotel when we return to the San Diego area. It was so easy to get around East County, get downtown, get to the Zoo and Balboa Park, and there are many options for eating around.
We reserved 3 rooms, they put us on different floors and wouldn't move us closer which is why I gave 4 stars. The In and Out drive through blocks the handicap parking which made it difficult to get in and out. Rooms were nice and clean. Shower door kept opening while using but just dealt with it as we only stayed one night.
The service was great. We stay here because it’s dog friendly & convenient to San Diego. The neighbourhood is a little rough, but we were fine. Lots of walkable food choices near by. My favourite was the water pressure for showers! Not fancy, but clean and adequate. There is an In & Out on the same property which makes the parking lit a bit congested, but we always found a spot. Strong A/C
I travel for work, lots of time at hotels. Sebastian is by far the most welcoming desk manager I've experienced. He seems genuinely excited to greet and talk to you. The room was clean, plenty of parking in the back, and close to restaurants.
