Lovely stay! Traveled for the first time with our dog to visit some family in the area. We arrived pretty late but the woman at the front desk was super friendly and kind. Very welcoming and put us at ease instantly. The pool and hot tub were very nice and well maintained. The breakfast/bar area was beautiful and so clean. The room was clean and comfortable. They have pet stations outside with potty bags and were overall very pet welcoming not just tolerant. We travel to this area often and this was by far the best stay we’ve had in the area!
We love the Hiltons! ... especially because their dog friendly! This one at LG is in a nice convenient location to "the village" LOTs to do around here! We were here for their Winter Carnival - ice sculptures, lumber jack contests, bonfires, ATV & truck races on the ice and fireworks!!
I returned last night from a 3-night stay at The Hampton Inn, Lake George. The staff was so kind and accommodating and went way above and beyond, to make sure I had everything I needed, especially on a day when I wasn’t feeling well. I have never known hotel staff to show so much kindness in my life. The breakfast buffet was great and the atmosphere was so inviting. Loved the coffee. The rooms are a good size, spotless, and have the most comfortable beds. It is also quiet and my room had a beautiful view. I want to say a big thank you to Kristina, Jennifer, and Kirsten for your kindness and compassion. I will never forget you. Judi from Massachusetts.
I would give 5 stars except for- 1. Blinding LED lights shining from lawn into rooms. The blcakout shade does not stop this light. This light is of the frequencies that prevent us from sleeping. 2. Housekeeping coming in room when privacy door sign on door, and not coming when it is off.
I want to start by saying the manager Julie was great and very helpful when she could. The minor room issues were addressed quickly. Our primary issues are more towards the maintence crew and the Hilton design team, I believe. To start, the hotel provides 3 wheeled luggage carts. Very unstable, and carts lean and flip easily. While i was parking, my wife could not successfully push the cart to the room without items falling off due to the cart tilting. I attempted to enter from the side entrance and initially could not because the lock is so worn out you have to lift the handle. The natural downward move to open the door was not releasing the lock. It is very frustrating with a handful of items. The lock clearly needs to be replaced. The door also rattles and slams closed. Our room was close to that door, and the noise kept us awake several nights. We had a light repaired in the kitchenette area and maintenance let sheet rock dust and dirt all over our food and supplies. They obviously did not cover the area. This room was labeled king suite. It certainly had a suite price tag well over $300 a night however It was far from a suite. The shower/toilet area was so small that the only way to open/close the bathroom door was to either step into the shower or squeeze between the bowl and the shower door. Also, the dimensions of the bathroom were so awkward that they had to install an undersized toilet so you could actually open and close the door. Ridiculous!! My wife and I packed for a 7 night stay. It's summer, so mostly shorts and light clothing were used. The dresser supplied was so small that i had to put much of my clothing on the closet shelf. Draws and phones were dusty and dirty and had to be wiped clean before clothes were placed in it or the handset was used. Ice machines are on one one side of the building, and there wasn't a machine on the 1st floor. I had to walk one flight up and across the entire building. GIVE ME A BREAK!!! I can probably add a few more items, but life is too short.
