The cautionary news - I am a woman traveling alone, and the hotel provided my contact information to another guest. This is exceptionally dangerous. This particular hotel is owned by a franchisee, so Hilton corporate and their legal and privacy teams have simply shrugged their shoulders. The franchisee has failed to respond to my messages. The good news - the employees were friendly, the rooms were clean, and the breakfast smelled great. When I arrived, there was a complementary wine tasting in the lobby. That's fun! Otherwise the hotel is okay - as other reviewers have indicated, this property charges for parking, which isn't ideal. Also, the walls are pretty thin, and so it was hard to sleep with a very loud/active family next to me (watching TV until after midnight.) The information about construction came AFTER I had booked, which isn't ideal. But what really frightened me was that my privacy was compromised, and that the hotel itself doesn't care to apologize or to find out more about the security breach. Another guest should not have been given my information, period. (And, it is not clear how many other guests may have been given my information.)

They’ve finished their construction, so the building is quite new and nice. Beautiful clean and spacious lobby. Well designed rooms that are pretty large. However – they now charge for parking??? And they have a company that patrols to make sure you are registered. This hotel is not in a busy area where I feel that there would be a need to charge for parking, so it really feels like Hilton nickel and diming you when you are already paying quite a bit for a room. If you have a room for the night, you should get a parking pass to park one car for the night. I will not stay here again because of the parking fee.

This Hampton is more expensive than typical. But they are doing a good job to make it worth it. Room has great layout. USB ports everywhere. Fixtures are well maintained. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Although the breakfast could be better. We found the oatmeal half cooked. And not very many items to choose from. Seatings are limited. The “light roast” and “dark roast” coffees are actually looking/tasting the same.

Fairly competitively priced hotel- with general hilton standards at the 3-star level. Eg the hotel right opposite is quoting nearly double this hotel's rate but is rated 4-star. Rooms are all new and remodeled. usb-c ports everywhere. one could skip getting their own extension cords. Breakfast is a bit odd. It starts at about 6am- and if one goes early- one can get beef patties. But it feels like they run out of that fairly quickly- and eggs are then substituted. This should be rectified and at least one meat always served throughout the 6am-10am breakfast. Swimming pool will reopen on 1/1/25- after construction completes. (We didn't notice any active construction during our stay) Reasonable sized gym (for a hotel) with free weights- two benches, two treadmills and a narrow GF cable crossover machine equivalent. Decent in-room wifi. Parking is easy to pay. Maintenance requests are addressed promptly. Note that sometimes the mini-fridges are set so that only the back of it cools somewhat and the front remains at room temperature. This also can be fixed so that before checkin the mi-fridges are useable. Location: almost right on 101- and within 1 mile of downtown paso robles- and within fair distance of Hearst castle etc (its a CA state park). Housekeeping could do with more friendly attitude. Overall happy to stay again.
