Hampton Inn & Suites Plattsburgh

Every Hampton Inn needs a Karen at the front desk! She was the best and we enjoyed talking with her. We always stay at Hampton Inns for consistency but she made our stay a little more special with her kindness.

This was the perfect landing spot for my weekend on the other side of the lake. Nice updated well designed rooms. Very spacious! Camden and Jennifer were very helpful and pleasant. I will be back!

We stayed at this fine hotel last night. We were greeted by a clean cool room right on Route 3 in Plattsburgh. To greet us was hot coffee, chocolate chip cookies and apples. Although we didn’t use it there was a beautiful pool. Everyone was super very pleasant and friendly. The breakfast was wonderful. Along with a western omelette which was very tasty, they had flavorful sausages. Hot oatmeal, pancakes, fresh fruit, bagels, muffins were also provided. The food was definitely top shelf. I’ve stayed at thousands of hotels over my career and retirement, this is definitely one of the better ones. We will definitely be back. Great job everyone!!

This was a great location for what we were in town for. However, if you are wheelchair dependent be aware there are only two spots in the front. One on the side near a door and a last at the back near the pool with a door that reads exit only that requires to move towards one of the other doors.

To be brutally honest we did not have a great experience with this hotel. We had just travelled up from Saratoga Springs and we were tired. To start with, my partner is a Hilton silver member and this was not acknowledged on checking in (which is unusual). The room we had originally chosen the day before (using the app) was not available due to maintenance being required. So we were given another room. This turned out to be right next to the elevator (so it was a bit noisy) The beds were a bit uncomfortable and the whole room itself a bit tired. On trying to use the shower, the faucet almost came away in my hand, but after a bit of jiggling I managed to get a feeble jet of water to come out of the shower head, barely enough pressure to shower. I was too tired to complain at the time. The WiFi also logs you out after 15 minutes, this is INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING and totally pointless. Breakfast was standard Hampton buffet and was ok. When we checked out we raised our concerns but the front desk did not seem interested and just stated “you’re all set to go” before returning to a conversation with a fellow employee. As you can guess I would strongly suggest booking a different hotel if you are staying in the Plattsburg area.
