The staff is nice but the hotel and rooms are dated and due for upgrades/renovations. It was not quite what I'm used to from Hampton but it was clean and the bed was good. It also had a great mini fridge that actually had a freezer section. (I needed that as I was traveling with a cooler and food that needed to remain frozen) the bottle of conditioner in the shower was totally empty which I didn't discover until I needed to use it, fortunately i brought my own. I tried getting ice but the machines on the 2nd floor didn't work at all. It was conveniently located near the highway but far enough away not to hear it. It was decent for the location and price. Breakfast was the standard Hampton spread and it was good and the breakfast area was clean. Staff were friendly and very helpful.
Well, first of all… no one wants to stay in Redding. So read the rest with that context. I only stay at Hilton properties and used my points for this purchase. And the only we chose this hotel was because they had a hot tub. We could have stayed anywhere. It’s not a busy weekend. It’s a January in Redding. The hot tub didn’t work… We checked in very easy and the rooms are nice. The beds are lumpy but it’s a perfectly serviceable hotel that’s close to food and centrally located in general. Within mins of checking in (we were 1 of 4 families) we came down to the pool and hot tub (before we knew it was broken) and the women at the front desk. I think Abigail stopped one of our moms who has 2 little girls. It was 920 on a Friday night and we had been traveling/working all day. And she said, “you know our quiet hours are at 10, we’ve already received complaints” So apparently it’s not ok to have kids in this hotel. Because you know what? Kids make noise. And they weren’t out of line. I’d be the first to admit it. It was true “Karen” situation and felt wildly unwelcoming. And let me remind you. It’s Friday night in Redding. No one wants to be here anyway. Thanks for the soft touch Abigail
For our road trip this was a good stop. The staff was friendly. Dog friendly. We always travel with our own pillows. An extra heavy blanket was provided in the room. The room was clean. If you prefer an old school firm mattress you are in luck. Cover the light coming in from the hall under the door with a towel and your good to go. There wasn't any traffick in the hallway and no one was booked in the rooms next to us, so it was quiet enough. We had a good stay. We don't rate breakfast 'cause we stopped eating hotrl breakfast a ling time ago. It looked standard.
They just know the standards of hotel expectations and meet them perfectly. They do a wonderful job with breakfast and we always feel so welcome here. Location is perfectly centered in a good part of town. Staff is of course friendly. Excited to return soon!
It's OK. Jordan and his fellow front desk were friendly. The food was OK, glad there were fruits available. All was clean except when I checked the tub. I saw hair. Obviously, it wasn't clean properly. Then, when I took a shower, the conditioner was out. Good thing we have our own toiletries.
