Hampton Inn & Suites South Lake Tahoe

Great value. Pet friendly is a huge bonus but what made it even better was the cleanliness of the room and hotel. Room, bathroom, bedsheets, etc… all spotless. The location was great, close to restaurants, shops, and all South Lake Tahoe activities. The only major complaint was the bathroom door, which was in the style of a sliding barn door. It didn’t lock or even stay closed all the way. We found a way to wedge it closed but even so, it left about a 1 inch sized crack completely open. Definitely lacked privacy- if I had been sharing the room with anyone other than my husband and child I would have been very uncomfortable. However, everything else was great. The streaming services were also unavailable during our two night stay but not the end of the world. Overall we would return!

Great place to stay in Tahoe if you’re looking for a more budget-friendly but nice accommodation. Great free breakfast, clean rooms, nice pool/jacuzzi. Staff is also wonderful. The only reason I removed a star is that they now charge $15 for parking, which is disappointing considering it used to be free and there aren’t any other parking options nearby.

The pet policy is getting out of hand. People leave dogs in room and barking. People above our room playing with dogs /jumping up and down. People bringing dogs into get food at breakfast and at tables. Breakfast was fake eggs. Rest of food was just food which you’d expect. Bed was hard as a rock. Both husband and I had sore bodies after first night and we’re not old. Jacuzzi filled with kids. Not relaxing at all. All in all fine if you have pets and kids. We will move on to quieter, nicer places. Best compliment is it was very clean room.

On 2/15/25 at 6:00 pm. We arrived at the hotel and at 7:00pm We decided to stop at the front desk to get water and possibly snacks. One of the front desk was rude and appeared not happy doing her job. The room is clean. Needs a lot of improvement- to serve a better selection of breakfast. Definitely I would give 1 out of 5 rating in regards to breakfast. Location is great.

I had a nice one night stay here. When I arrived early, the room wasn't ready, but I was able to park and store some temperature sensitive items in the back. The front desk was very nice and suggested some food and drink places to go in walking distance. Soon enough, I was able to check in and I found my room very clean and very modern. It was a comfortable stay and a nice property. Good location in walking distance to brew pubs, restaurants, and even the casinos across the state line. The parking lot felt safe and it the facilities were very well taken care of. Breakfast was nice in the morning. I thought the staff was consistently friendly and helpful.
