My husband and I have been staying at Happiness Hills for the past 13 years. When we first visited, Bill Ramsey (Jennifer's father) was our first contact during our stays. Bill was very thoughtful and made sure we were welcomed. Jennifer and her family now are the owners of Happiness Hills and they are continuing where Bill left off. We love our visits to Berea and and cabins we stay in. They are beautifully decorated and the furnishings and beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with everything we need for preparing our meals. One of the best things about Happiness Hills, other than Jennifer and her family, are the views from the front porch. Happiness Hills is our "happy place".

My church and I have been going here for a while for some mens retreat. This place is awesome! The hosts are super hospitable and quick to respond. Plenty of land to walk around and explore. Lots to do nearby whether it’s exploring the cave systems nearby or Berea colleges campus. I would recommend this place to anyone and will definitely come back!

Great place to relax and escape. No TV in the cabin but really wasn't missed. Jennifer (the host) checks in daily via email to that you everything you need to be comfortably.

With the stress of COVID, I desperately needed to get away for a couple of days and this was the perfect place to do it. I stayed in one of the new cabins and it was so adorable! You can tell the owners really care about their guests - the cabin was meticulously clean (the coffee cups even had all their handles aligned) and it has everything you need except food and clothes (linens, towels, toiletries, etc.)! The kitchen does not have an oven, but does have a two-burner hotplate, microwave, toaster, electric water kettle, a Keurig-type coffee maker, and refrigerator. Pots, pans, utensils, and of course, dishes/glasses/mugs are provided (even wine glasses). The queen-sized bed was very comfortable, and I understand the couch pulls out into a twin bed, but I didn't use it. It was great as a couch, though! There's purposefully not a TV or radio (it's all about getting away, after all!) but there is Internet. Enough about the inside, let me tell you about the property. It's gorgeous. It's peaceful. It's nature. There's a wooded area you can walk through to a lake and there's a grassy/field area you can also walk around. I spent a lot of time sitting on the front porch, just taking in the scenery and listening to the quiet. Bottom line, it was exactly what my soul needed. I didn't want to come home! But all good things must end. I just keep promising myself I can go back.
