Angela and Rodney were great host!!! While doing a CO/UT BDR, i left my truck there and stayed in their cabin on the night before and after the 1.5 week ride. Great place to unwind! Gas and food 2 mins down the street. Wifi in cabins is lacking, so if you want to work from there, you pretty much need to be outside in the field. And for animal lovers, friendly kitties!!
Happy Camper RV park is under new ownership. It's an amazing retreat for a family or couple. There are about 15 full hookup sites with 30 or 50 amp connections. There are lots of pull-though sites for long 5th wheels. The surrounding area is full of deer and elk and other wildlife. There are also incredible rock formations and canyons to explore.
The campground needs some money spent on maintenance. The water hydrant was very rusty and the water was rusty and smelled bad. One 50 Amp site had a broken hydrant because it froze in the winter, we were told. It's August! We were there for 5 nights. When we left we had to replace our hose water filter, our house(coach) water filter and our refrigerator filter because they were completely full of rust. It cost us $100.00 to replace all three. Would not recommend staying there if you need to hook to water.
I come here almost every year, best RV park I've ever been too, would highly recommend
Wonderful host....guarantee it's quiet and beautiful and picturesque. Hope to see them again Absolutely gorgeous
