Happy Hollow Children's Camp has a rich history, serving Indiana youth since 1951. It spans an impressive 850-900 acres of pristine forestry, including a 16-acre (or 20-acre, depending on source) lake. The camp's mission is to make outdoor experiences accessible to all children, particularly those from low-income homes or with special medical needs like asthma. This commitment is reflected in its structured programs, emphasis on personal growth, and comprehensive facilities. However, the glowing reviews speak to the quality of its grounds and activities, highlighting well-maintained areas, safe and fun equipment, and staff dedication. One review specifically mentions "acres of great places to hike as well as clean, well-maintained grounds and buildings," affirming its suitability for general appreciation of the outdoors by visitors, even if their primary purpose isn't personal camping. It's a testament to a place that prioritizes nature immersion and healthy development in a secure environment.
