Very interesting area to study, very happy to have been able to get to this area, but definitely could get better places to camp. This is not a long-camping emplacement I would say. Be aware of cow's poop as well for your tent, don't be me. Although, it's warm enough to be comfortable and fire pits exist here and there and can be quite nice ! Twigs/Logs are easy to find.
The Rincon mountains are one of the most beautiful places around Tucson. Plan you trip intelligently. Ask the rangers for reports on the various seasonal water springs. Plan your trip during a time when water is likely (after recent rain/snowmelt) or plan to carry all of your own water. This place is remote, it's great! The campgrounds provide bear lockers and even toilets. For how remote this is, I respect the work of the rangers who maintain the campgrounds. Pack it out, and keep these mountains pristine.
