This was an awful stay. When we arrived after check in time 8/14 we were told our room wasn't ready. We were offered a down grade or to wait while it was cleaned. During this time one of the staff said we shouldn't have been given this room because it needs to be treated for bugs. She later walked back her comment saying it was another room. The regional manager offered refunding the cleaning fee for the inconvenience. After two hours of waiting for our room we were finally allowed to enter. Floors were dirty turning socks black after a few minutes of walking but everything else was okay. After a long drive we were ready for bed. Around 1 am my kid woke up in distress covered in hives. Called customer service and they said we could get another room in the morning and that they would send out a pest company to check. Also, the rep confirmed that the previous occupant reported issues with bed bugs. The room offered wasn't cleaned yet from the previous occupant and left a mess. Also, instead of sending a company they sent the regular maintenance crew. They did not find any issues in the room and gave us all new sheets. Turns out whatever they treated the room with irritated my kids skins with full body hives. Things settled down after washing her sheets and we figured everything would go normally afterwards. We still have yet to receive our refund. I'll never stay at a property managed by them and if you stay here be sure to check your beds.
Lovely condo on the water. Beautiful view. Lovely unit for a weeks stay.
I have mixed feelings about the company, Vavasa. Pretty clean but the short hairs in the tub were disturbing & the hump in the middle of my king bed made it awkward to sleep comfortably. The view was nice. Fairly close to everything we wanted. Oh, and the coupons they advertise that were included to get into the attractions free were expired. They kept shifting me from one person to the other and nobody ever resolved it. 2 weeks after leaving I got an email saying they were still accepting them 🤔 gee thanks? So the place is okay but don't expect any support if something isn't right.
Good views of the intercostal water way and swing bridge, walking distance to a restaurant, and close to just about everything
It is a great setting to meet with friends, enjoy the atmosphere, and have a good time. Eat, drink, and be merry. It's friendly, inviting, and not too pricey. I highly recommend this place! And, the tourist don't really know about it. There are alot of locals that hang out there.
