Easy spot to pitch a tent or hang a hammock. There's picnic tables and fire pits. I was pleasantly surprised to find a food/water cache at the campsite and left some snacks for the next person to come along.
The best place in my opinion to start hiking the swamp fox passage. If you practice survival skills and plan for at least three days of hiking it is a quiet scenic part of the trail. Parking at Halfway Creek road at about mile 9 of the trail. Beautiful different ecosystems as you walk toward lake Moultrie.
Excellent campsite, there's several picnic tables, benches, and fire rings There doesn't seem to be water around the site, or coming from east from the parking area
Absolutely awesome spot to get away for a night or 2. Really enjoyed the benches, tables and fire rings. Easily accessible.
