Lice. The 4 letter word that brings dread and sympathy at its mention. The 4 letter word that takes you back to past childhood trauma and one that my family had avoided until this trip. We have never, ever, had lice until we came here for spring break and we are 100 percent sure this is where it came from. I checked the bedding of the cabin and noticed some pine needles and small specks of dirt but brushed it off as we’re in nature and those things sneak in. I was wrong. Also- there are no tables in the small cabins so you’ll eat on the floor if the picnic bench is left in the Washington rain, there’s zero parking, the dish washing station was turned off so we had to use a spout from a trailer site for water and to wash hands/ dishes. We waited a solid 35 minutes to be able to check in as the attendant wasn’t at the main office. Went to check in at 315-normal check in is 3- and apparently they “close at 4”. Zero tv channels for a boasted perk. I’d skip this place and go to Rife Lake unless you want bugs. Beware.
We've stayed in their cabin twice now and love it. The camp hosts are very kind. It's a beautiful and well maintained park area. Very dog friendly. The cabin is heated and has electricity and a mini fridge.
We camper several times a year to campground is generally kept up very well. Bathrooms are always clean. The pool is warm. The downside is you have to schedule an appointment or a timeslot for the pool and the pool hours are limited. the office staff is always very friendly and helpful.
We love this place. We've been here many times in the past but their rates are getting a bit out of control and we were advised they will be going up again! The camground is always nice and well kept. We stayed there last weekend and encountered a few issues that we would normally overlook, but the price we paid for our stay combined with our experience means we likely won't be coming back. There are many other places that you can go that are just as nice for half the cost. We suspect the new ownership by a large company is responsible for the price hikes. Oh well, there is more than one spot on this lake to enjoy!
The lake side sites are very nice and roomy. The office ladies were very nice but they didnt' give any details on any thing other than how to drive to our site. No info. on laundry, bathrooms or trash. We we went looking for the laundry no building was marked as laundry so we started trying doors. Found it only 2 dryers, 2 washer which was fine except one washer was out of oder. Sign said go across the street. We couldn't figure that out. So off to the office. We find out it is across the hwy 122. To where more RV's and the pool is. This building was NOT marked either. No place to sit and wait for your laundry. Met a couple that was not happy that you have to pay to shower. The price doesn't seem bad until they add on all the other charges. We won't be back.
