Seven free camp spots to choose from. It's a holiday weekend and 5 more empty spots. There is a water pump but not drinkable, trash cans, paved sites, clunky picnic tables, vault room. Short walk to the dam/lake where some good size fish chill out. Several horse/hiking trails around. Kudos to the state for all the mowing. Only stayed one night due to the person with the generator that sounded like a freight train. Lots of wild blackberries and galloping deer.
Beautiful secluded area, not too far from the highway. I was surprised that the sites are free (on a first come, first served basis). My Verizon phone has connection, so that's nice. There is a pit toilet. Couldn't find a source of potable water, so make sure you have drinking water
Very nice! 7 spots. Free camping. Horseback riders come totting by. Small damed lake. Concrete pads. Downside, not very level and vaul5 toilets, but it's free, so you can't complain.
Okay so for a free camp site it really was just fine. Looks like a nice place to stay and fish too. I camped one night. I just have to say that the bathroom is almost unusable. It is disgusting, the stall doors don't work or lock, there's hornets nesting and flying around in there, and the smell is atrocious. I think this is a good spot, but I'd recommend testing out your new camping compost toilet if you go...
Very Nice Free Primitive Camping. Driveway/TrashCan/ Fire Pit/ Picnic Table/Rest Room. 7 Lots Here with Each Lot having the Same Amenities. 4 Miles from Downtown Cadiz,Ohio.
