Beautiful, peaceful campground! Best kept secret in Mifflin County! I would give it 5 stars but for the privatly owned spots across the river were disrespectful at times. RV sites have water and electric. He provides septic dump, garbage removal and showers. Nice, shady, roomy sites.
Nice quiet place along the Juniata River way out in the country past McVeytown. They have a 5 mph speed limit in the campground which is fine and protects all the kids and pets. The thing is when you turn off the road to get to the main campground, you have about 1/4 to 1/2 mile that goes past cornfields the insist you drive 5 mph on too. Straight road so you can see people coming. 10 or 15 mph here would be fine but 5 mph makes no sense. Corn is not going to run out in front of you and kids not on this part of the road.
Wonderful campground Elizabeth and I love it there. Dick and Helen and family are great people. They always make sure things are good.
We have a permanent camp here and absolutely love it!! They have a dump station, bathrooms and electric. They always go around checking the campground making sure all is well. Awesome campground!!
A camper here decided to repeatedly catcall me as I was minding my own business paddling down the river.
