My family and I camped at Hause Creek over the weekend and we had a blast. We stayed in site 22. Very spacious and we were close to the water. Definitely a little too fast for the kids to swim and obviously too cold right now,, but if you walk up and down you may be able to find a little spot where they can dip their feet during the hotter months. The kids took their bikes and had a lot of fun riding those around the park. Camp host were really friendly as well! Definitely recommend!
I camped at site #38. I was a little disappointed that the map on recreation.gov showed its location somewhere else, nevertheless the sites are quite large. There are two general areas - the bottom loop and the upper loop. The upper loop is next to US12, the lower loop is right on the Tieton river. The river is pretty fast moving so not a place to go swimming. The highway isn't too busy and didn't keep us up at night. The campground generally was clean and looked well maintained. The facilities were still closed but there were port-a-potties everywhere. No running water just as advertised. Despite the misinformed location of my campsite I was very pleased with my stay. The camp host was very friendly and was willing and able to answer any questions I had.
Hosts were so kind and helpful. Clean sites and nice to be by the water. Even the pit toilet was clean.
Spot #40. Went during the week, early June and had the whole upper loop to ourselves. Camp host was very friendly. Nice sloping meadow and trail to river and creek behind. Some noise from roadway but mostly covered by the sound of the river. Great place to take dogs.
Park is clean and basic, no water no power. We were camped in the family site for 8+ people with plenty of room. LOCK UP YO STUFF! Our generator was stolen from our campsite between 11pm and 6am. They dragged it right out of camp into the side of the highway.
Great campground. My kids had a great time. The mosquitoes weren’t bad either. There’s a little store less than 5 minutes away that sells some basic supplies and ice. Cell service was intermittent at best, we have t mobile.
